How do I book my hotel accommodations? Is it covered by the conference or do I have to pay for it?

If you opted to have a roommate in your original registration, hotel accommodations will be covered by Cornell for THREE nights (for most people this will be the 7th, 8th, and 9th of September). If you opted to have a private room on your registration, it will be $80 per night. Please email us at sealangteaching@gmail.com if you want to confirm your roommate/private room status and if you have a preference for a roommate (that you did not already list on the google form registration).

Room assignments will be sent out in a few weeks in mid-late August.

If you need to stay for four nights due to a lack of afternoon flights, please email us at sealangteaching@gmail.com to arrange hotel accommodation for Sunday (10th) night.

When should I arrive and depart Ithaca?

It will be convenient for you to arrive in Ithaca sometime on Thursday (September 7th) and depart on Sunday (September 10) after 1 pm (the conference will be over by then for most attendees).

How much funding will I receive? When will I know about funding decisions? â€‹

Funding decisions about travel grants have already been made and participants have been notified. You are still welcome to register for the conference, but no more travel grants will be given.

I plan on driving to Ithaca with a car. How will I park in the city and campus? â€‹

If you are staying in Hotel Ithaca, the hotel offers parking. While the conference will be arranging transportation from the hotel to the Cornell campus, you are also welcome to drive to Cornell. Parking is severely restricted on weekdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. However, there are many parking options for the weekend. Please visit this page to learn about parking options in the Cornell University campus. â€‹
